Welcome from the Principal

Welcome from the Executive Principal

For any parent, choosing a school for their child is one of the hardest decisions they will ever have to make but for parents of children with SEND, we understand just how important it is to find the right school for your child.   We know that, as parents, you want a school that will enable your child to make progress but, most importantly, you want a school which can accurately meet their needs and give them every opportunity to thrive.

This is why at Whitefield School, we place our pupils at the centre of everything we do.  This means taking the time to get to know each child's ambitions, interests and needs and designing a bespoke curriculum that enables each pupil to make the progress that is right for them.  Through our flexible curriculum pathways and our creative enrichment programmes, we seek to give pupils the skills and knowledge they need now and in the future.  We want every pupil to benefit from an engaging, rewarding and enjoyable school experience which fully prepares them for the next stage of their education and lives.

But to achieve this, we know that our pupils need to feel safe, secure and supported which is why high standards of welfare and safeguarding are the golden thread running throughout our school.  We want each of our pupils to be happy and enjoy coming to school and so our teams of experienced teachers and specialists will always do whatever they can to support pupils and ensure they feel safe.

We are always pleased to speak to prospective parents and discuss how Whitefield School could meet their child's needs.  If you want to find out more about what we could offer your child, please do not hesitate to contact us.

I look forward to welcoming you to Whitefield School.
