Two football teams from Whitefield Schools made a fantastic showing at the Panathlon football tournament in November. The teams fought their way through regional qualifying heats to join 200 players from the top 16 boroughs at Wembley.
Whitefield’s under 13 and under 16 teams came fourth in their first round, narrowly missing out a chance to play in the Championship competition, but then did well in the runners-up Plate competition. The under 13s team came 2nd with the under 16s coming 6th, meaning that Whitefield came fourth overall. The whole school is very proud of the students’ achievement.
