Good News if you live in Walthamstow - the Empire Walthamstow is starting a monthly programme of autism and SEN friendly screenings. As is usual with autism-friendly screenings:
- sound will be lowered
- lights will be up in the auditorium
- performance will go straight to feature, without adverts or trailers.
All children with special educational needs are welcome. Whitefield parent Kirsteen helped push the initiative through, so thanks go to her and of course to Adam, the cinema's general manager.
If the screenings prove popular, the cinema will look at running them more frequently.
The first film the cinema will be showing is Sing on Sunday 29th January at 10:10am
- Time – 10:10am
- Auditorium – Screen 3 (101 seater)
- Date – Sunday 29th
- Prices – Standard Prices. Childs Prices £5.50, Adult Prices £8.00. CEA carer cards go through as a free ticket.
The next NAS screening will be Lego Batman, in February - details to come
