  • Training for job coaches supporting disabled people into work

    As part of the Preparing for Adulthood Programme, the British Association for Supported Employment (BASE)  is running a 5 day course in Occupational Standards Training at the Whitefield Research & Development Centre.
    The course is designed for employment and work experience leads and any staff that support learners with SEND into and during  employment opportunities and runs on  23rd, 24th, 30th, 31st March and 1st April.

  • 'Research Unlocked' symposium looks at ways to make research more accessible

    The power of practitioner research took centre stage at the formal unveiling of Whitefield’s refurbished Research and Development Centre this term.

    Over thirty students, teachers, lecturers and educationalists from schools and universities attended an exhibition and symposium that explored the value of research generated by postgraduate courses and discussed the practical steps needed to ensure that these nuggets of best practice are made accessible to the widest audience.
