Joseph Clarke redevelopment updates

Joseph Clarke School is embarking on a major redevelopment to improve the school's buildings and facilities. We're committed to keeping parents and the local community updated on the work. We will be updating this page as the schedule develops and notifying residents of any potential noise or disruption.

The development programme
May 2015 Soil Testing

Southern Testing will be at the school for most of Saturday to check the soil on site. There will be some noise as they break through the tarmac.

June 2015 Fence Erection Erection of safety fencing on site before work on phase 1 begins on Monday.  - it will be carried out by Westminster Building Company.
June 2015 Phase 1  The first phase of works, construction of the new retaining wall starts - it will be carried out by Westminster Building Company.
August 2015 internal work  Work has begun to transform the inside of the internal building. We don't expect this part of the work to cause too much disruption for local residents.
March 2016 Classroom build The new Early Years classroom is now complete and we are moving on to build two new classrooms. 
July 2016 Entrance building The steel work for striking circular entrance ramp with the green roof is now going up.
Nov 2016 Primary refurb

The new reception and new classroom block is complete and the front of the school has been boarded out, so that the primary department can be refurbished. 

April 2017 Secondary refurb The secondary refurbishment is now underway, with work expected to be complete in the middle of June. Primary pupils are now in their new classrooms.
September Tidy up Development is now complete, we are just doing the final tidying, snagging and will soon be planting the new garden areas.
