Whitefield Schools has won an award for a joint project between it and The Brook school in Haringey and the Agios Spyridonas school in Larnaca, Cyprus.
The 'eTwinning' initiative is run through the European Union's Erasmus programme and brings schools across Europe together to work on joint projects as a way to find out about different countries and communities.
The three schools came together to write, film and edit a short film: "A Christmas movie". Classes used Skype video-calls to discuss the script etc. Each school then filmed their own scenes which were edited together by Maria Preftitsi from the The Brook, able assisted by our own Maria Popazoglou who coordinated the project on behalf of Whitefield. Congratulations to both of them for the award.
The eTwinning Quality label is awarded in the UK to top-notch eTwinning projects, and hopefully, the project will now been entered into the pan-European awards.

The three schools have already embarked on a new e-Twinning project, this one looking at the links between music - in particular rhythm – and improved physical development.
