Our friends from construction company Osborne have been hard at work again, this time they have created a beautiful set of sensory boards for the secondary school. Crown Paints donated the paint and the local Travis Perkins in Wood Street donated the wooden boards.

The bright, colourful boards are designed to be attractive for pupils with some vision, but the carved shapes can be accessed through touch. The fact that they were designed to reach to the ground means that even our wheelchair-bound pupils are able to use them too.
Head teacher, Maureen Duncan said "As always, our pupils are thrilled to have friends from outside agencies visiting and the contruction crew were an enormous success when they met the pupils, helped them to communicate effectively and explained what they had personally done to bring the project to fruition. The boards are being used regularly and there is a lot of laughter and enjoyment."
Our thanks go out to Osborne, Crown and Travis Perkins.
